11th Annual Row for a Reason
September 11th & 12th, 2026
Body One Fitness, Redondo Beach

Join us for a fun weekend of rowing and raising support for CSC. Participants sign up to row on stationary ergometers in half-hour time slots for a $50 donation. Since 2015, this event has raised over $100,000. We are so grateful for the dedication and support of Lou Sidella, Body One Fitness, the rowers, sponsors, donors, and all who participate in this wonderful event!

Girls Night Out is back for three nights of laughter, connection, and community at the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach! Hundreds of Peninsula students and faculty will be lacing up their sneakers to raise money for the fight against cancer. This annual event raises funds for cancer support and research. CSC South Bay is honored to be selected as the beneficiary for this amazing fundraiser. Go Panthers!

2nd Annual Together We Walk Sunday, March 8, 2026 Shoreline Park, Long Beach, CA

2026 marks the second year of Together We Walk, a community walk to uplift and empower individuals impacted by cancer, including their families and loved ones.

Together We Walk is a tribute to Judith Opdahl’s legacy and her commitment to Cancer Support Community South Bay. Judith served as Executive Director/CEO of CSC South Bay for 25 extraordinary years.

3rd Annual Waterfront Ultra

Project Barley Waterfront

Every hour on the hour, racers step up to the starting line and proceed to run 4.167 miles. The race continues every hour until only one athlete remains. The Project Barley Waterfront side will be open to the public all day, so even if you’re not racing, you can join us for live music, good food, fun and cheering on the racers. All proceeds benefit CSC South Bay.

This one-of-a-kind cancer fundraising event brings stationery cycling to the Manhattan Beach Pier. Join us as we pedal for hope, ride for love, and strive to cure cancer. Funds raised go to support the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, The Uncle Kory Foundation, and CSC South Bay! Get involved as a rider, as a volunteer, or as a spectator at the event.
