How You Can Help

We are incredibly grateful for the generous donors who help us provide all of our services completely free of charge to cancer patients and their loved ones. Because we do not receive any federal or state funding and are not supported by any large cancer organizations, we rely exclusively on the generosity of individuals, corporate sponsors and foundations to fund our programs. Your donation will directly support the community we serve.

Become a Volunteer

CSC South Bay volunteers make a big difference in the lives of the cancer patients that come to our facility. We couldn’t do this important work without the wonderful support of our over 200 incredible volunteers, all of whom are dedicated to our mission of ensuring that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community.

There are many ways to help. Find the one that best fits you and share your skills; here are some examples.

  • You can be the smiling face and warm welcome cancer patients need by volunteering at our front desk.
  • Help out at one of our three signature events per year: Tour de Pier, Celebrate Wellness, or Girls Night Out. We always need great help at these amazing events!
  • Suggest a specific project you may be able to help out with based on your skill set. We welcome creative ideas!

Legacy of Hope Society

Many CSC South Bay donors have included us in their wills or other types of legacy gift planning. Members of the Legacy of Hope Society have pledged a gift that will help ensure our community will be here to support many more cancer patients and their loved ones in the future.

We host Legacy of Hope Society celebration events each year where you can learn more about the opportunity to help ensure CSC South Bay’s future.

Victors Circle

Victors Circle members are donors who have made a gift of $1,000 or more in a calendar year. We currently have over 100 loyal members who faithfully give this amount annually, thus providing us with the financial flexibility to meet the needs of our community as they arise. We honor our Victors Circle members each spring with a celebratory recognition dinner where they have the opportunity to meet staff, board members and participants.

Corporate Sponsors

We raise over $200,000 per year from our very generous corporate sponsors. We have corporate sponsorship opportunities at our two annual signature events:  Celebrate Wellness & Girls Night Out. Additionally, we have monthly lunch-and-learn workshops for participants, as well as other on-site activities which provide sponsorship opportunities for local businesses to benefit cancer patients in their communities.

CSC South Bay’s corporate sponsors receive tremendous local press from our media ads and event press and build awareness of their philanthropy and community commitment via this exposure.
